Denise Madera Presents Seminar on “Killer Creative”
Houston—March 18, 2008—Origin Design Director, Denise Madera, recently presented “Killer Creative: Design with Distinction” to the Society for Marketing Professional Services (SMPS) regional conferences in Dallas and Birmingham, and the Houston SMPS Chapter monthly luncheon. SMPS is comprised of marketing and business development professionals from architectural, engineering, construction (AEC) firms, as well as planning, interior design, and specialty consulting firms.
“AEC firms depend on creative presentations and products as a catalyst for generating business. Tight deadlines and limited marketing staff resources can threaten an AEC marketing professional’s ability to maximize innovation in their creative work,” said Doug Parker, SMPS Houston Chamber Senior Advisor. “Denise’s presentation provided SMPS professionals with advice and tools to kick things up a notch and give their firm a competitive edge with “killer creative.””
Madera’s two-part presentation walks through the entire creative process, giving design professionals invaluable tools and techniques to enhance their creative products. Denise uses Adobe InDesign and Photoshop software to teach software features that increase creative ease and functionality.
“As a director for a creative marketing firm, I face the daily challenge of trying to maximize both time and creativity to produce unique, compelling communications,” Madera said. “By taking professionals through real-life scenarios, from concept through layout to final deliverables, I teach them tips and tricks, to generate concepts, color choice, or software selection. It is possible to create bold pieces on killer deadlines, too.“
