CREATING AN ANNUAL REPORT FOR

AN ENERGY PIONEER

GREENHUNTER ENERGY

2007 Print AR
CHALLENGE

When billionaire Gary C. Evans needed an annual report for his new renewable energy venture, he called Origin. Because while selling a new company to investors is hard, selling a new kind of company is even harder.

ACTION

Say “renewable energy,” to many investors and they think of sandal-wearing idealists with more fashion sense than financial sense. But that’s far from reality. Today renewable energy is big business. GreenHunter’s investment in multiple, renewable, proven fuels and technologies put the emphasis on hot profits rather than warm fuzzies. Origin’s AR concept Planting the Seeds helped show investors the real financial performance and potential of these critical domestic energy assets and how GreenHunter was tapping in. The company continues to grow, and spread the message that financial and environmental sustainability don’t have to be mutually exclusive.

  • Helped communicate concept and value of a next generation energy company
  • Framed company’s activities in ways investors within conventional energy sector can understand
  • Sold the concept of the company at a time when renewable energy investment was crowded
  • Trivia: The earliest windmills were developed around 2000 B.C. in ancient Babylon to grind grain.
